We moved into a new house a few months ago. For the most part, things have been going pretty smoothly with the transition. The main thing that has bothered me is the lack of organization in the mudroom.
We went from a huge mudroom with a walk in closet, to this tiny little area. Needless to say, winter coats, boots, bags, shoes, etc. got me down. I was able to convince my husband we needed to deal with it ASAP. Actually it’s entirely possible the fact that I broke a vase in the closet is what convinced him. After a trip to Home Depot we were set for our adventure.
Alex gave no bothers to our adventure. He just wanted to play while we worked. James, however, loved every moment of helping us put together the new shelving unit. He was able to utilize his new hard hard he received from Great Grandpa for his birthday. We got each boy their own little tool belt for helping us. Alex’s sits unused while James’ has lots of tools (read: toys) stored in it.
Once it was put together and installed, I was able to fill it up. Sweet organization. Granted it’s not as organized as it could be, but hey, it’s so much better than it was.
